"Thanks to our collaboration with Fairly Made, we have not only strengthened the traceability of our products but also engaged our suppliers and sales teams in an ambitious journey towards transparency and sustainability. This approach goes beyond mere regulatory compliance, extending traceability to accessories not covered by AGEC, in order to meet our customers' expectations and build a more responsible fashion industry."
In a context where transparency and sustainability are becoming essential for fashion brands, A.P.C. has partnered with Fairly Made to strengthen its commitments and meet the growing expectations of consumers and regulations.
Needs
Anticipating future regulations and responding to consumer expectations, A.P.C. is committed to ensuring full traceability of its products, going beyond the requirements of the AGEC law. Leather goods, although not covered by the regulation, are included in this transparency initiative. The brand’s goal is to extend this approach to its entire product range and prepare for environmental labeling to promote more responsible consumption.
Solution
Fairly Made supported A.P.C. in its quest for transparency with innovative tools, including a supplier interface that tripled the number of known suppliers for the spring-summer 2025 collection (a 3.1-fold increase). Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) also enabled the scientific evaluation of over 3,800 products, primarily ready-to-wear, but also footwear and leather accessories. This partnership has strengthened A.P.C.’s commitments, with 85.5% of factories located in Europe, 129 certifications obtained from 228 suppliers for the SS25 collection, and 30% of products integrating organic or recycled fibers.
Results
A.P.C. reached a new milestone by introducing QR codes on its products, allowing customers to easily access transparent information about the brand’s commitments. To support this change, Fairly Made trained sales teams in 35 stores in September 2024. Looking ahead, A.P.C. plans to optimize data collection on the energy impact of its supply chain, prepare for environmental labelling, and strengthen its CSR and eco-design initiatives.
With ambitious initiatives and tangible results, A.P.C. demonstrates how innovation and responsibility can come together to build a more sustainable future.
